White Pigeon is a charitable organisation working on rehabilitation of those deemed to be disabled by landmines and war activities or any other reason in Sri Lanka. In the UK we are a registered charity and we work in partnership with registered Non Governmental Organisation who has being working over twenty years with major international aid and development organisations. Dr. N. S. Moorthy began White Pigeon in the UK and is the Chairman of White Pigeon.
We work with many major Non Governmental Organizations such as Mine Advisor Group, Norwegian Peoples Aid, Danish De-mining Group, UNICEF, and Swiss Foundation for Mine Action. White Pigeon was set up with the purpose of rehabilitating people in the north and east of Sri Lanka who have been disabled by the war in those areas. It particularly focuses on providing prosthetic limbs for the victims of land-mines, and offers counselling, rehabilitation and vocational training for those affected.
